About Me

My name is Kaitlyn. I’m a NESTA certified personal trainer and an ICU registered nurse! My passion is helping others to become their best, strongest, and healthiest selves—inside and out!

My Background

My fitness journey began in 2012. I hit my heaviest weight in my sophomore year of college at 170 lbs. I did endless hours of cardio and was terrified of weight training, with the common fear that lifting weights would “make me bulky.” Meanwhile, I would eat salads, broccoli and chicken all day and then gorge on sweets and massive amounts of calories at night. I had no balance and felt insecure and uncomfortable in all of my clothes. A friend introduced me to weight training and I fell in love! In the first year, I lost 40 pounds.

I went on to prep and compete in a bodybuilding competition in 2014 where I won Jax Physique overall figure! It was at this time that I decided to pursue a career in fitness and become a personal trainer. I trained hundreds of clients over the years with different goals and of many different ages and backgrounds. During this time, I also completed my bachelors degree in nursing and became a registered nurse. I also continued to learn and study biomechanics and nutrition and how the body best responds to stressors!

I am currently working as an ICU and rapid response nurse while completing my Doctorate in Nursing! I’m so thankful that I have been able to pursue both of my passions, each one a complement to the other. I have found an amazing balance with food, exercise and living an enjoyable life and I want to share my knowledge with you!
